Belvoir Theatre, Surry Hills presents The Birds

Daphne du Maurier’s 1952 gothic horror story captured the paranoia and tension of the Cold War, and inspired an immortal Hitchcock film. Now, a new adaptation by Australian writer Louise Fox brings this classic to the stage, a version feverish and suspenseful, for a new age, with new anxieties.

Walk from Central or catch the Light Rail. You must have a Pension Card and ID. Queue for tickets at 11.00am, have lunch and then the show is at 1.00pm Trains:  Dapto 8.43am, W'gong 9.07am, Thirroul 9.18am. Meet upstairs in second last carriage.

It is BYO and $2 a glass corkage. Beer and wine charges look reasonable.

Arrive at 6.00pm  for 6.30pm dinner.

Come along for brunch at Smiths Lane Dairy, 57 Smiths Lane, Wongawilli.

Set in lovely gardens it prooduces a great Brunch menu.

Meet at 11.30am as the kitchen closes at 1.30pm so plenty of time.

There is a 10% surcharge on weekends but still not expensive I believe.

Meeting Afternoon at Fraternity Club

All Welcome.

The meeting will commence at 1.30pm downstairs in the Sunken Lobby or a place to be nominated at the Fraternity Club, Fairy Meadow.

Members, guests, and visitors are welcome to join us for the meeting or come early and join us for lunch from 12.00 noon in the Fraternity Bistro.

Don't forget to wear your IOC name badge to win a prize and help us to get to know each other.

ANOTHER NEW UPCOMING SHOW: - SWEET CAROLINE TOUR is a tribute to Neil Diamond is putting all those well-loved classics back on stage and in the spotlight, showcased by a world-class international band and produced especially for the theatre.                                            

THURSDAY 25th JUNE 2026 at the IPAC Wollongong at 7.30pm.                                                             COST: $67.10 to be paid at the meeting on WEDNESDAY 18TH FEBRUARY 2026.

Card & Games Night at The Bridge Club, Figtree

Join us for a fun night of cards and games at the Bridge Club Hall in Figtree.

Cost is $5 per person.

Please bring a small plate of nibbles to share for supper. No hot food as there are no heating facilities.

Indoor Bowls at Warilla Bowling Club

Enjoy a fun 2 hours of bowls with no sun, wind, rain or bumps in the grass!

Meet in tte foyer at 12 noon for lunch and at 1.30pm play bowls.

Cost: $6 for bowls and green hire. Socks, bare feet or bowling shoes must be worn on the green.
