Australia's Biggest Morning Tea

Come along at 10.00am to Col & Jennifer’s home in Mount Kembla for the annual Cancer Charity Event…”Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea”.

Please bring a small plate to share as tea and coffee is provided. There will be some raffles with prizes donated by the IOC Committee. Donations accepted if you can’t make it on the day.

All money raised goes to the Cancer Council.           Activity Sheet

May Birthay Lunch at the Evil Eye Fairy Meadow

Join all those who have a birthday in MAY at the Evil Eye Restaurant, 3 Vereker St, Fairy Meadow for lunch. Birthday persons and friends are invited to meet at 12.30pm. for lunch and celebrate with those who have a MAY birthday.

Arrive at the Open Hearth Hotel in Warrawong between 11.30am and 12.00 noon for lunch. After lunch go to the movie of your choice at the Gala or Hoyts.

Meet at 5.00pm for 5.30pm dinner. After dinner watch the FREE show Oz Icons. I have booked a table for 12 but can add numbers.

It is BYO and $4 corkage.

Arrive at 6.00pm for 6.30pm.Parking in front or in the Car Park nearby.

Knees Up for Jim Chapman at Jamberoo Pub

All Welcome!

 

There will be a Knees Up to Celebrate the life of JIM CHAPMAN a long time member of our club at the JAMBEROO PUB on Saturday 17th May.. Jim passed away recently.

The Celebration of Jim's life will commence at 3.00pm.

Arrive at 9.00am for a tasty beakfast at the Lagoon Deck Bar at Stuart Park.

After breakfast some may wish to take a walk while others may be happy to sit and talk.

IOC Meeting Night

All Welcome!

NOTE CHANGE OF MEETING VENUE!!

The meeting commences at 7.30pm upstairs in the Renaissance Room at the Fraternity Club, Fairy Meadow.

Members, guests, and visitors are welcome to join us for the meeting or come early and join us for dinner from 6.00pm in the Fraternity Bistro.

Don't forget to wear your IOC name badge to win a prize and help us to get to know each other.

Belvoir Theatre at Surry Hills presents "The Wrong Gods"

This month's production is “The Wrong Gods”. This play is set in India It is a gripping new play by S.Shakthidranan. The struggle of mother and daughter with progess and worshipping.

You can either walk from Central or catch the Light Rail. You must have a pension card and ID to attend the performance.. Queue for tickets at 11.00am then have lunch before the show at 1.00pm.Trains: Dapto 8.43am, W'gong 9.07am, Thirroul 9.18am. Friday 23rd May

Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre. "A Midsummer Nights Dream"

Our IOC member Don(ald) Ezzard is performing in this Shakespearean comedy at the above venue at 11 am. 
A theatre party is organised with train travel. It is a short walk from Casula station arriving at 10:02 am, to the Powerhouse. Train departing Albion Park Rail 7.33, Dapto 7.40, Wollongong 7.57, Thirroul 8.06, Wolli Creek 9.27,  upstairs 2nd last carriage. On arrival we can have morning tea prior to the performance and after this lunch. The Powerhouse is a monumental transformation from a brutalist electricity complex to an imaginative and functional Theater and Exhibition space and Liverpool Art Gallery, all worth seeing. Returning train at 14.44 arriving back in The Gong around 4:30 ish. Tickets $25 . Come and see our Thespian, a master of disguises.

Saturday 24th MAY

CARD AND GAMES NIGHT AT THE BRIDGE CLUB FIGTREE

Join us for a fun night of cards and games at the Bridge Club Hall in Figtree.

Cost is $5 per person.

Please bring a small plate of nibbles to share for supper. No hot food as there are no heating facilities.

Doors open at 6.30pm for 6.45pm start (don't be late!)

Address: 11 Princes Highway, Figtree.
Approach can be from either north or south. Turn into the park on the north side of Figtree shopping centre carpark.

Sunday 25th May

Indoor Lawn Bowls  at Warilla Bowling Club

Col W.

Come and join us for a fun 2 hours of bowls with no sun, wind or rain or bumps in the grass.

Meet in the foyer at at 12.00 noon for lunch and at 1.30pm play bpwls.

Cost is $8 for bowls and green hire.

Socks, bare feet or bowling shoes must be worn on thr green. After the game enjoy a coffee or cool drink and a chat.
